Buried in the eruption of Mt Tarawera in 1886.
I'm not sure why the Te Papa collections has so many individually catalogued copies of the same print. The image appeared in the nature galleries that closed in April 2018. It is not used in the replacement exhibition galleries which opened in May 2019.

(To the Editor). Sir, - Re your notes on 'Flour Mill at Wairoa,' I remember when Te Mita, the native chief at Bethlehem, owned this mill and I grew wheat at Otumoetai and had it ground into flour at this mill. We grew on the farm in those days most of the necessaries for the table, such as wheat for flour, maize meal, mutton, poultry, bacon, pork, milk, butter, eggs, vegetables, fruit, etc. - I am, etc., W. A. BENNETT, Papamoa.
