Lincolnshire Chronicle, 01 February 1850
SLEAFORD.-
A serious accident occurred on the night of Friday last to a young man, named Marratt, brother of Mr. Job Marratt, miller, of Sleaford. He was standing upon one of the sails of the windmill, for the purpose of reefing it, when a sudden gust of wind caused the sails to go round, carrying the young man round with them twice, when he was precipitated to the ground. With considerable difficulty he managed to reach a house a few hundred yards distant, and we are happy to add that, although suffering from very severe internal bruises, he is now considered out of danger.
