British Summer Time:
large post mill body
-
Temporary structure, present at the summer festival for around 10 days in 2013 and 2014.
Part of the British Summer Time festival site consisted of a recreation of an English village, with
a row of 3 pubs, namely the Windmill, Kings Head, and Old Vine. Unusally for a pub called the Windmill,
the one carrying that name was actually shaped like a windmill, consisting effectively of an large post mill
body, with mock sails attached. Drinks (from all three pubs) was served to drinkers outside of the
structure, from a bar cut in to the front of the building.
