A run through of archives : J - S 🌍

A third installment of archive sites found via the EnrichUK.net portal.

• Exploring the Potteries - with items from the collections in the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Stoke on Trent. The category Windmills, Watermills & Cornmills has just 6 entries, all photographed by William Blake, and there is another windmill picture, also by William Blake, that is not included in that category.
• Leodis contains 42,000+ images of Leeds, mostly from the collections in Leeds Library. A search for windmill turns up 27 images - that for mill, not surprisingly rather more at over 1800 images.
• Staffordshire Past Track digital archive has 130+ images which are in the mills category and there is some overlap (notably the William Blake photos) with the windmill search results from Exploring the Potteries.
• Structural Images of the North East has been mentioned before in these pages. It currently returns 100+ images for windmill and 800+ images for mill.
