The mill is half sized, dimensionally based on the one at Pitstone Green, using a combination of traditional materials and, where applicable, modern technologies such as thrust bearings etc.
When completed the mill will be capable of producing flour using a single pair of stones sourced from the late, great Fred Dibnah.
By Nov 2010, most of the internals of the buck were in place, though the stones awaited dressing. During 2011, the post and trestle were completed, and the buck was lifted up in to location over Christmas 2011. Plans for Sping 2012 are to get all four sails on to complete the project. Rear steps, tail boom etc have yet to be fitted but are in the workshop.
