Climbing the Windmills of Schleswig-Holstein
The latest sport in the flatlands of Germany is
climbing wind turbine towers. In Klanxbüll, Schleswig Holstein, near
the German-Danish border, the 48 metre tall turbines are open for
climbing from May to September on a Wednesday afternoon. Anyone over 14
years old can climb for 18 - which does include a safety line!
