A lawsuit was filed in San Francisco on 12th Jan by the
Center for Biological Diversity
against FPL Group and NEG Micon A/S. These two
companies, based in Florida, and Denmark, own about half of the 5400
wind turbines on Altamont Pass. The claim is that these companies have
not done enough to prevent the raptor bird kills
that have historically been a problem in the areas windfarms.
