The windmill in Pointe-Claire, Quebec is the symbol of the community, and after years of lobbying, the city
council has put aside $500,000 Canadian towards its restoration. That should go towards repairing the fabric of the tower,
including doors and windows, and also for work on the roof. A further stage, of restoring the mill workings is as yet
unfunded.
The funding is reported by the local news outlets of
The Suburban, and
The Chronicle.
