PROSPECTUS for the CLUTHA FERRY STEAM FLOUR AND OATMEAL MILL COMPANY (LIMITED.)
THE Promoters of this Company, in bringing it before the notice of the public, beg to show that the want of Flour and Oatmeal Mills at this important centre, has been long apparent to everyone in and around this thriving and prosperous township, and this being the Seat of business for such a large and important agricultural district. Steam communication by the river, and coastal steamers being now established, and that in a short time it is expected to be the terminus of the Southern Trunk Railway, which will place at the command of the Company a good and rapid transit for export to the Dunedin or other markets.
It is therefore proposed to form a Joint-stock Company, under the "Limited Liability Act," with a Capital of £2,500, in 250 shares of £10 each; £1 per share payable on application, and £1 per share on allotment. Calls will not be made upon the shareholders at intervals of less than three months, and it is proposed that such calls shall not exceed £1 per share.
The Company will be thus brought out, so that everyone interested in the success of the enterprise may have an opportunity of participating in its benefits and profits.
The Promoters are sanguine of success in. the undertaking, and request that parties having the interest of the district at heart will co-operate in assisting in the formation of the Company.

We are requested to intimate, that all persons desirous of taking shares in the Clutha Ferry Steam Flour and Oatmeal Mill Company (limited), are invited to make early application as it is the intention of the Directors to close their, list in a short time.

I'm not sure if the mill ever went ahead - I've seen nothing other than the prospectus.
