Westoe Rangitikei
(#nz42)
Sir William Fox's first homestead at Westoe was located on the river flood plain, and he produced a watercolour
painting of it dated 1864 showing that amongst the homestead buildings was a windmill.
When he built his second house on a terrace above the river flood level around a decade later, the homestead on
the plain went out of use.
