A new series of
interactive exhibits have been produced at Skidby windmill, as a
result of a £32,000 Heritage Lottery Grant covering 90% if the expense,
topped up with money from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The exhibits include a weighing machine, pulleys, a wind turbine, a big
jigsaw of the mill past and present, plus historical costumes, and real
and replica historical objects. The exhibits are aimed especially at
young children, but aim to also appeal to older ones and adults.
