National Mills Weekend was held over the weekend of 6th-7th May.
A few of the new items that I've seen about this:

Haddenham windmill
was open, as part of a general village open day - other activities included avoiding the torrential rain and hail showers, plus
a brass band, vintage tractors, barbeque, balloon race

Stotfold Mill, Hertfordshire held a
Steam and Country Show
which raised £16,000 towards restoring the mill, with an attendance of 2500 on Saturday, and 4000 on Sunday.
