National Trust Library

The National Trust has announced that Over 150,000 historic books catalogued online for the first time. This catalogue covers books in the various libraries at 160 National Trust properties, and has been an ongoing project since 1958. There are still another 70,000 books to be added to the catalogue.

Amongst the volumes catalogued are a couple of very interesting books in the library at Penrhyn Castle.

• "Groot volkomen moolenboek", Leendert van Natrus, Amsterdam, 1734-6
• "Architectura mechanica, of moole-boek", Pieter Linperch, Amsterdam, 1727

Both of these are illustrated architectural guides about mills, written in Dutch.
