Gareth Hughes wrote to me to point out something he'd found on Google Street View - the remaining evidence of Abergele windmill:
Given that they're thirty feet high, are these the most obscure windmill remains in the country, with the exception of overgrown foundations.
The sloping change of brick colour on the warehouse building (which used to be two storeys higher) in the background here is the line of the stone windmill tower which was attached until c.1981. It stood half in and half out of the brick building so a cross-section of it survives as newer brick.
It's worth taking a look at a watercolour of how it used to look when the mill tower still existed.
