SPAB is holding its first in person conference for many years,
to cover 2 main areas
- the maintenance, repair and monitoring of mills
- how to create, preserve and display documents.
The meeting is happening on 4th October, at the Mills Archive in Reading. Speakers include
- Mildred Cookson and Nathanael Hodge from the Mills Archive Trust, covering caring for documents and images
- Dr Toby Huitson and Duncan McCallum, exploring the Mills at Risk theme and the intricacies of listing historic buildings
- Justin Coombs demonstrating his innovative Smartmolen Project
- Millwright Cameron Southcott talking about mill repair and maintenance
- Dr. Michael Nevell presenting the Industrial Heritage Support Project
