Subject to an extensive restoration in early 2011.
Had earlier been conserved, but spent many years on the English Heritage
"Buildings At Risk" register (2002 on) due to deteriorating condition.
A Friends of Windmill Park group was formed (Spring 2003) with
an objective of restoring the mill and surrounding park again.
Awarded a £400,000 Lottery grand towards restoration in March 2010.
