Follow up on gale damage
A number of followup items on gale damage after the storms in January:
Another casualty was Thurne Dyke mill, which lost its fantail
The emergency repairs to Upminster were done by millwright Vincent Pargeter, who as the former Essex county millwright knows the mill well
The tailwinded cap of St Olaves is now reported to have fallen off and thus sustained considerably more damage
