SHOCKING FATALITY TO A MILLER-An accident, which resulted fatally to the sufferer, was reported at Great Yarmouth on Saturday. William Tungate, a man about 60 years of age, who was employed at Mr Skinner's windmill, was on the second floor dressing one of the stones, and was lying on the stone for that purpose with his legs in a sack for the sake of warmth, when the sack was caught by the main shaft, which was in motion, and the unfortunate man was rapidly whirled round feet foremost, being squeezed at every revolution through a narrow space about a foot wide. His cries brought assistance, and the mill was stopped, but great difficulty was experienced in extracting him, so tightly was he wound round the shaft. He was conveyed to the Yarmouth Hospital, where it was found that his injuries were of the most frightful character, most of his limbs being smashed and broken. He lingered on in great agony for a few hours, and then died.
